Elizabeth Kelley

Welcome Guest Blogger Stacey Joy Netzel.

by Elizabeth Kelley

I’m so pleased to have Stacey Joy Netzel with us today.  She has a new book out, MORE THAN A KISS, a contemporary romance inspired by a Netflix commercial.

Stacey says she fell in love with books at a young age, so for her the graduation to writing them was natural. An avid reader and fan of movies with a happily ever after, she lives in her native Wisconsin with her husband and three children, a couple horses and some barn cats. She works part-time as a travel agent, and in her limited free time enjoys gardening, canning, and visiting her parents in Northeastern Wisconsin (Up North) at their cabin on the lake.

Stacey, thank you so much for stopping by. Today, I thought I would ask some fun questions to give the readers a chance to know you. How’s that sound?

Thanks for having me, Elizabeth! I’m happy to answer some questions. Read the rest of this entry »

New Release with giveaway!

by Dale Mayer

UPDATE – Congratulations to Jeannie for winning the ecopy of Maddy’s Floor!

Did you ever have a project that just wouldn’t come to completion?  A project that for all your best efforts – just won’t quit? Well, book 3 in my Psychic Vision Series, called MADDY’S FLOOR, was just that to me.

The esoteric levels in this book are higher than the first two books in the series, the concepts – a little more intangible, a little harder to clarify. I had cps, then an editor, revisions, editor, then a different editor.

What I had thought would be a December 2011 release, turned into a January, then March release and finally on Easter weekend, after more editing and revisions than I thought were possible – MADDY’S FLOOR was released. Read the rest of this entry »

Lynda Bailey talks Inspiration

by Abigail Sharpe

Lynda Bailey

Please welcome Lynda Bailey to Blame It On The Muse.   She’s  always loved stories. Especially love stories. Growing up in the Midwest, she’d make up stories, usually to her favorite TV shows.

As she got older, the stories didn’t relent. In fact, they only got stronger, the characters more insistent. She had no choice but to put it all on paper. It’s an obsession. One that she loves.  When not sitting at her computer, she spends her time working as a fitness instructor. Please visit her at www.lyndabailey.net.

How do you come up with all those stories you write?

Lizbeth Selvig, the Rancher, the Rockstar, and a Songbird

by Abigail Sharpe

Lizbeth Selvig featuring mouse ears

Hello, Musers! Even though Lizbeth is one of our regular bloggers, I still wanted to feature her and her debut release (February 28th!). Lizbeth was my Golden Heart sister in 2010 and WON our category with Songbird, who-hoo (Did I mention the conference was in Orlando?)! Then she hit the road to publication and Songbird turned into The Rancher and the Rock Star. I’ve enjoyed watching her journey and now she’ll share it with you.

My (not so) Secret Addiction to English Heroes

by Hope Ramsay

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  So, let me kick today’s blog off with this beautiful image:

Yes, I write contemporary romance, but I have a real deep addiction for English heroes.  Given this fact, it was probably only a matter of time before I decided to send an Englishman to Last Chance.  And that’s exactly what I do in Last Chance Beauty Queen, which hits bookstores this week. Livia Quinn

Guest: Muser Alix Rickloff

by Livia Quinn

I’m thrilled to interview one of our very own Musers, Alix Rickloff, whose book, Heir of Danger is being released today! Alix has been one of my favorite authors since I read Dangerous as Sin, and yes, she really is as nice as she looks.

Alix grew up with a family tree that included a knight who fought during the Wars of the Roses (his brass rubbing hangs in her dining room), and a soldier who sided with Charles I during the English Civil War (hence the family’s hasty emigration to America). With ancestors like that, who wouldn’t be inspired?

Alix turned this fascination with British history along with her love of storytelling to good use. She began writing, releasing her first historical-paranormal in 2007. Her books have been described as “sexy and intense”, “exciting and spellbinding” and “a universe you won’t ever wish to leave”.

Two “Fire” books coming soon to an e-reader near you!

by Cadence Denton

For most writers the road to publication is not a smooth, four-lane highway. A dirt road with lots and lots of potholes would probably be more accurate. In my case, my writing career has been little better than a goat path up a rocky mountainside. However, the most important lesson I’ve learned in six years of actively pursuing the craft is perseverance.

Introducing Karma Kincaid from Wild Thing

by Robin Kaye

I’m so excited to be beginning my blog tour for Wild Thing so I thought I’d celebrate by flying out to Boise, Idaho, one of my favorite places in the world, and stop by Humpin’ Hannah’s—the bar featured in my last book, Yours for the Taking, and introduce you to one of my characters from Wild Thing and the Domestic Gods Gone Wild series—Karma Kincaid. Now I’ve known Karma for a while—after all, she’s been in two of my books, but she’s never met me in person so I thought I’d surprise her.
